1. Who we are

LearnKoreanWith.me is operated from the Republic of Korea. Contact: clara@learnkoreanwith.me.

2. What we collect

(a) Name widget: the name you type is used only to generate your result — no account, no profile. Results are cached for 7 days under an anonymised key; we keep anonymous usage statistics. (b) Email delivery: if you ask for your Korean name by email, we store your email address, the generated name, your language, and request/send/unsubscribe timestamps. (c) Booking: lessons are booked through Cal.com, which processes your data under its own privacy policy. (d) Analytics: we use Umami, a cookieless analytics tool — no cookies, no stored IP addresses, country-level statistics only.

3. Why, and on what legal basis

We use your email once, to send the result you asked for (performance of a contract, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)), and we keep minimal records to prevent abuse (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)). We do not send marketing emails.

4. Where your data is processed

Data is processed in the Republic of Korea. For EU visitors, this transfer is covered by the European Commission's adequacy decision for the Republic of Korea (17 December 2021).

5. How long we keep it

Email-delivery records are deleted within 12 months of sending. Unsubscribe records are kept so we never email that address again.

6. Processors

OpenAI (name transliteration, naming and pronunciation audio — only the name text is sent; API data is not used for training), Cal.com (booking), IONOS (email sending).

7. Your rights

You can request access, correction, deletion or restriction at any time by email. We answer within 30 days.
